The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered every question with patience and even went out of their way by offering to let us come to breakfast early the last day when we let them know we had to leave early in the morning to catch our train. The property is beautiful and offers lots of amenities. The breakfasts are fantastic. We also enjoyed 2 delicious dinners at the restaurant. While the resort is a little isolated that is one of the reasons we loved it. We could get an Uber relatively cheaply and go wherever we wanted with no trouble since it's perfectly situated in the middle of all the places we wanted to go. If we are fortunate enough to travel to Portugal again, this will definitely be the place we will stay.

Evening dinner also enjoyable - served by lovely welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Juan( I think) is a star- really loves his work and everything customer focused . He & his colleagues made us feel special We know that the indoor pool is great but we didn’t have time to use it this time . Outdoor pool looks great but too cool in January for us to use. Gardens are beautifully kept. Gardener looked very conscientious. Very peaceful out of season and excellent value at this time of year

We love the peace and tranquility. The location is excellent as it’s near enough to places to visit but set in the heart of the countryside. The gardens are lovely and our apartment was very private. We were extremely delighted to be given an upgrade to a deluxe apartment which was fantastic as we stayed for nearly three weeks. The apartment was very comfortable and we loved the fact that you could opt out of having the apartment refreshed everyday. It’s really not essential and it’s definitely a brilliant idea. This was our fifth visit and certainly won’t be our last.
