Visited this resort several times we enjoy the calmness and tranquillity. We stay in a two bedroom townhouse with garden view which is very spacious with a fully fitted kitchen and large lounge/ dining area. The housekeeping is excellent I am quite fussy but find the accommodation to be spotless. We paid for breakfast which has improved Since Details have taken ownership and Tania plays a key role in ensuring the service at breakfast is efficient, she is very friendly and attentive to customers needs, an asset to the company in my opinion. Reception both Sonia and Carla are efficient and are very professional at dealing with guests requests. The gardens are immaculate adding to the ambiance of the resort. We will return next year. The only areas for improvement would be that some painting outside would spruce up the appearance and new mattress on sunbeds.

They answered every question with patience and even went out of their way by offering to let us come to breakfast early the last day when we let them know we had to leave early in the morning to catch our train. The property is beautiful and offers lots of amenities. The breakfasts are fantastic. We also enjoyed 2 delicious dinners at the restaurant. While the resort is a little isolated that is one of the reasons we loved it. We could get an Uber relatively cheaply and go wherever we wanted with no trouble since it's perfectly situated in the middle of all the places we wanted to go. If we are fortunate enough to travel to Portugal again, this will definitely be the place we will stay.

The room was very clean & light. Fantastic huge comfy bed with lovely linen. The breakfast is really nice- plenty of choice and pleasant staff on hand. Evening dinner also enjoyable - served by lovely welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Juan( I think) is a star- really loves his work and everything customer focused . He & his colleagues made us feel special We know that the indoor pool is great but we didn’t have time to use it this time . Outdoor pool looks great but too cool in January for us to use. Gardens are beautifully kept. Gardener looked very conscientious. Very peaceful out of season and excellent value at this time of year

We were surprised with an amazing upgrade, from a booked hotel room we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom house with a terrace and garden, We were also give vouchers for wine and for discount on diners. We also had free use of health club with a gym, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Everything was really clean and smelling lovely. The staff was very kind and helpful and friendly.
